The concept for Carmen's Unique Designs online boutique was created about twenty years ago, when the internet was relatively new and shopping online was not as common and convenient as it is today. I wanted to personally design and create garments and accessories and reach a world wide audience. My AA Degree in fashion design comes from The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising. Fashion and costume history, illustration and sewing are part of my design background. I have worked in the motion picture industry for over thirty years and have been a member of Motion Picture Costumers Local 705 since January 1990. Photography, fashion design, illustration and sewing were the basis for this online business that I envisioned in 2001. Mass production was never the goal. The concept was to design custom limited edition creations, including women's clothing, accessories, and custom stationery. Carmen's Unique Designs is a specialty boutique offering quality, beauty, unique limited edition items and custom creations. As owner, designer and C.E.O., I am responsible for the design and creation of the items on this website. Garments and accessories are hand made by me. Stationery is either custom designed and professionally printed, or is hand made by me using quality card stock and embellishments. Thank you for visiting!

Carmen's Unique Designs strives to achieve two main goals: 1) Customer satisfaction. 2) Preventing and reducing the need for returns and exchanges. Customer satisfaction is extremely important. We do our best to present items accurately with good photographs and accurate descriptions. As a small business focused on custom limited edition creations, Carmen's Unique Designs is not equipped to handle financial losses incurred due to casual returns or exchanges. Items are inspected by Carmen Lozano herself and packaged securely, with Signature Confirmation on purchases of $100.00 or more. A custom made or customized item, once opened and used, may not be suitable for resale. We will generally follow the guidelines set forth by PayPal regarding returns. Returns and Exchanges will be handled on a case-by-case basis, and always with honesty, honor and integrity.
Please read all listings very carefully prior to purchase! In the event that an item or items do not arrive as described, or arrived damaged in transit, the customer will be required to return the items with the original packaging materials and will pay for return shipping. Our valued customers will be offered ONE of the following: 1) A full refund of the original purchase price, minus 50% initial cost of shipping, OR 2) An EQUAL exchange of the SAME or SIMILAR product of EQUAL value; customer is responsible for 50% shipping cost. Every effort will be made by Carmen's Unique Designs to avoid returns and exchanges, but in the event that something beyond the customer's control and the control of the owner herself occurs, we will work with our valued customers to achieve a fair and reasonable resolution. Please note that custom limited edition creations, such as women's clothing, are not generally returnable. As much detail and accuracy as possible will always be provided in listings to ensure customer satisfaction.

In March 2021, I decided to start my own business and do what I have always wanted to do: Design, create and share my works with others. After filing the necessary paperwork, Carmen's Unique Designs became official, and in August 2021, we went 'live' online. Here, you'll find a cozy online boutique featuring a constantly growing and evolving array of unique high quality limited edition creations.
